Herminia Ferrel, 78, of Wharton passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018 at a Sugar Land Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born on April 18, 1940 in Bonus to the late Theodore and Vicneta Bernal Aguilar. Herminia was raised in the Egypt area and attended Hungerford school. She worked at Lone Star Cleaners as a silk press cleaner for many years. She enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers baseball team, competing in friendly card games of Gin Rummy with family and solving puzzle books. She always loved her time spent with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Carmen Sanchez, Ofelia Mendoza, Jesse Aguilar, Theodore Aguilar, Jr., Johnnie Aguilar and Antonio Aguilar. Herminia is survived by her children, Helen Padilla and husband Rodolfo of Van Vleck, Jo Ann Munoz of Needville, Patricia Ferrel of Wharton, Michael Anthony Ferrel and wife, Nancy of Rosenberg and Bernardino Aguilar Ferrel of Wharton, sister, Linda Pasohondo of Eagle Lake and brother, Mike Aguilar of Wharton, along with grandchildren, Michael Joseph Ferrel, Miqueila Maria Ferrel, Marisa Alicia Ferrel, Gilbert Anthony Garcia, Brandi Monique Garcia, Shady Lynette Garcia, Gabriel Alfredo Garcia, Setven Munoz, Sean Munoz, Joe Ruiz, Vicenta Ruiz, Israel B. Arellano, Jacob Arellano, Isaac T. Padilla and Rodolofo Padilla, great grandchildren, Davion Arellano, Israel Arellano, Jr., Kataleya Arellano, Isabella Arellano, Kamilla Arellano, Daniella Arellano, Eliana Arellano, Michael Joseph Ferrel, MaRyan Shae Hargrove, Anthony Joseph Ferrel, Marshel Lee Van Hargrove, III, Thomas Joseph Ferrel, Eric Joseph Ferrel, Nathan Joseph Ferrel, Matthew Garcia, Madison Garcia, Dominic Garcia, Sophia Garcia, Kaleigh Ferrel, Bobby Joe Garcia and Gionni Garcia Quintana. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 5:00 pm at Wharton Funeral Home with Rosary recited at 7pm at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home.
