Jesse Pena

 Jesse Pena passed into the arms of the Lord on April 17, 2022 at a Houston hospital.  He was born on May 4, 1959 to Juanita Pesina Pena and the late Luciano Pena in Wharton, TX.

Jesse spent the majority of his life living in Wharton and surrounding areas and attended Boling High School.  He worked as a laborer in the construction field, mostly road construction. For a while he also worked as a professional tree trimmer.  In his free time, his family fondly remembers him for his love of BBQ and spending time with family, especially his kids and grandchildren.

Jesse is survived by his common law wife Igsa Rodriguez, his children Andrea Rosa Pena of Wharton, Juanita Rodriguez of Wharton, Jesse Lee Pena and his wife Alenna of Wharton and Michael Anthony Pena of Wharton.  He is also survived by his siblings Alice Pena of Houston, Amelia Gonzales and her husband Daniel of San Antonio, Lucy Pena, Lupe Ottino of Palacios, John Pena and his wife Natalie of Houston, Eugene Pena of Hungerford, Earnest Pena of Blessing, Bennie Pena and his wife Leonora of Wharton, Roy Pena of Wharton, and his grandchildren Jesse Eli Pena, Larry Joe Pena, Maximus Pena, Ava Wukasch and Noah Wukasch.  Also, many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father Luciano Pena and his sister Mary Lucio.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday April, 21^st from 5-7 P.M. at Wharton Funeral Home 515 E. Boling Hwy.  Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M.  His funeral mass will be held on Friday April 22^nd at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Wharton.  Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, Wharton.
