Jesusa Montalvo

Jesusa Montalvo, 74, of Boling ,TX peacefully departed to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 with her family beside her. She was born in Cuero, TX on December 17, 1946 to the late Jesus Valdez and Sara Rico Valdez.

Jesusa was known by many and everyone knew her by Granny. Her faith and love in Christ shined within her. She was a selfless woman. Always willing and ready to do anything she could to help family and friends. She proudly raised 7 kids and a granddaughter on her own. She loved gardening and cooking.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Every family gathering, there she was. Dancing and loving on her family. She was always so full of energy. She will be missed tremendously.

She is survived by her children, Virginia Muniz and husband, Anselmo of Needville, Lupe Montalvo and wife, Micaela of Pledger, Rose Marie Dennis and husband, Charles of Port Arthur, Jovita Solis and husband, Roy of Lake Jackson, Joventino Montalvo, Jr. and wife, April of Alvin, Francisco Hernandez of Boling, Juan Gabriel Montalvo and wife, Melissa of Palacios and Crystal Cuellar and husband, Luis of Katy; sisters, Sofia Moncibiaz of Wichita Falls, Tx and Herminia Maciel of Minnesota; brother, Salvador Valdez of Houston; 27 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 starting at 5 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home.  A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at  Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
