John Wilfred Long Jr. passed into to the arms of the lord on May 17, 2022, in a Sugarland Hospital. John was born on July 09, 1935 in Queens, New York to his mother Emma Gunther and father John Long Sr.

John was a jack of all trades and loved to spend his time Bowling, tinkering in his shop, going fishing, and Gardening. John also loved to Travel.

John is survived by his wife Cathy Long of Eagle Lake, His daughters Jennifer Loveday and husband Wes of Eagle Lake, Jeannie Long of New York, Jodi Pantley of Florida. His Stepsons Eric Jensen of New York, Richard Jensen of New York, William Jensen and wife Nicki of New York. He is also survived by his grandchildren John and wife Linda, Rachel, Naomi, Emily, Shawn, Jordan, Delaney, Gessner and Nathaniel and great grandchildren John Jr., Taegan, Xander, and Aibhilin.

 Viewing will begin on Saturday May 21, 2022 at 2pm with a Rosary starting at 4pm at Wharton Funeral Home.  Interment to be private.
