John ́s early education began at Boling ISD for several years and continued to Lamar Consolidated High School, Class of 1997 in Rosenberg, Texas. He began playing guitar and sports, flag football and baseball as a child, playing the position of catcher for several years. His school years were marked by his capacity to bring joy to those around him as he loved to laugh and had a contagious smile. He still rode bulls recently with his son Garrett.
