Kimberly Mebane Hodge, 46, of Wharton formerly of Belton, passed away on April 11, 2018 at a Richmond hospital following a lengthy illness of Myotonic Dystrophy. Kimberly was born on January 31, 1972 in Belton to the late James Otis Mebane and Janice Marie Bowser Mebane. Kimberly was an amazing house wife. She enjoyed reading, especially her Bible. She loved visiting and seeing her grandbabies. She loved music and always looked forward to watching CMA awards on television. As a young girl, Kimberly was an excellent barrel racer and loved her horse, Whiskey. She enjoyed being outside. She was always a pure country kind of girl. She was a Baptist woman by faith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents: Roy and Pearl Bowser and her first cousin: Jason Lee Grimm. She is survived by her husband, Robert of Wharton; daughter: Ashley DeLuna and husband, Jeremiah of El Campo; son: Steven Hodge of Wharton; brother: James Dale Mebane and grandchildren: Samya DeLuna and Jeremiah DeLuna, Jr. Along with numerous family and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 starting at 9 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home with Pastor Jarrel Baron officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton.
