Louis Adolph Srubar Louis Adolph Srubar, 60, of East Bernard, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 26, 1958 in Wharton, a son of Wilfred Vencil and Mary Ann Keprta Srubar. Louis was raised in Wharton County and attended Hungerford Schools before graduating from East Bernard High School in 1976. On April 27, 1985, he married Judy Korenek at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard. Louis worked for Kinder Morgan as a pipeline operator for many years. He was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Sons of the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus and the KJT. Louis enjoyed hunting, ranching, playing games with his family and watching his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Judy Srubar of East Bernard, daughters, Haley Srubar Mitchell and husband, Trevor of Richmond and Anna Srubar Francis and husband Aaron of Bryan and son, Nicholas Srubar and wife, Lauren of East Bernard, granddaughter, Sophie Srubar, parents, W. V. and Mary Ann Srubar of East Bernard, sisters, Teresa Priem and husband, Alan of Wharton, Patti Srubar Janik of East Bernard, brothers, Allan Srubar and wife, Kathy, and Billy Srubar and wife, Dodie both of East Bernard and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00pm and Rosary will follow on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 10:00am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard with Fr. Donald Ruppert officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Louis Srubar Memorial Fund at Amegy Bank. Services are under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
