Mabel Marie Boedeker

Mabel Marie Boedeker, 92, of Wharton County passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, May 22^nd, 2024. She was born on May 2, 1932 in Gonzales, TX to the late Johnny and Frances Koenning. She married Norman John Boedeker, Sr. and he preceded her in death in June, 5^th 1987. She enjoyed gardening, being with family and listening to country music. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Donald Koenning and son, Norman jr. Boedeker. She was a beloved Mother, Mema and Great Grandmother who cherished every moment spent with loved ones and is loved and missed by sons, Ronnie Boedeker and wife Sharon and son, Kelly Boedeker; daughter, Darlene Zahradnik and husband August; 8 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren.

 To commemorate her journey and the memories we share, the family will receive friends for visitation from 5-7 PM Monday, March 27^th at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held in her honor at 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 28^th,2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with burial services to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. We invite all who knew her to join us in celebrating the life of a woman who was loved deeply and will be dearly missed.
