Marcus Longoria passed from this world to be with the Lord on Friday, May 6, 2022 in El Campo, Texas following a lengthy illness. Marcus was born on December 10, 1950 in Boling, Texas to Mamie Silvas and the late Frank Longoria.
Marcus married Carmen Llanes on November 16, 1974. He worked at Dow followed by Conoco Phillips Refinery in Sweeny where he retired with 29 years of service. Marcus pursued his passion for training race horses, volunteering at the Wharton County Youth Fair as a Fair Director, a Director for the Rockin' W Association, and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play on sports teams.
Marcus is survived by his wife, Carmen, sons, Mark and Philip, daughter-in-law, Chandra, Grandchildren, Caylee and Carson Mother, Mamie Silvas, Brothers, Refugio Silvas, Jr, George Silvas and wife Stacey, Gilbert Silvas and wife Brenda, Leroy Longoria and wife Mary Alice, Ricky Longoria and wife Mona, Henry Longoria and wife Mary, and Larry Longoria, sisters Rosa Morris and husband Michael, Gloria Duncan and husband Mark, and Diana Rodriguez, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 beginning at 9:30 am, Church rosary at 10:30 am, and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, Wharton.
