Maurice Sterling

Maurice Sterling, 59, of Alvin and formerly of Boling passed away at a Clear Lake hospital following a lengthy illness.  He was born on May 27, 1959 in Boling, TX to Mary Imogene Collins and the late Edward Charles Sterling.   Maurice was raised in the Boling area and graduated from Boling High School.  On September 27, 2003, he married Sara Hosek in Deer Park. Maurice worked for Exxon and then later Marathon Oil as a buyer for many years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working in his shop.   Maurice is survived by his wife of almost 15 years, Sara Sterling, mother, Imogene King of Manvel, daughter, Hannah Huffman of Alvin and sons, Tommy Huffman and Avery Huffman both of Pasadena, brother, Edward Charles Sterling, Jr. of Houston.   Following cremation, memorial services will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home.   Funeral Services are under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.  Condolences may be left at whartonfuneralhome.com
