Michael Wayne Enax

Michael Enax, age 67, of Rosenberg passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019, in a Rosenberg hospital following a brief illness.

Mike was born in Rosenberg, Texas the only son of the late Edwin Louis and Annie Mildred Gibson Enax. He attended and graduated from Lamar Consolidated High School where he excelled in band. He later attended Wharton County Junior College on a music scholarship. He transferred to and graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors’ Degree in Law Enforcement and later, a Masters’ Degree in Criminal Justice. Mike worked many jobs to support himself in college. He married Marsha Lambeth on June 12, 1976. He had a mechanical mind, he could take anything apart, fix it and put it back together. He dabbled in home air conditioning, automotive repair and painting, and lawnmower repair. He served his community on the school board, and on parent teacher organizations. Mike enjoyed a life full of adventure, excitement and love for his family. Many family trips were taken to and memories made at their favorite spot in New Braunfels. Mike enjoyed boating on Lake Houston, tubing the Comal River, and being with his five grandsons that lovingly referred to him as Chief.

He is survived by the love of his life, wife, Marsha Enax of Rosenberg, daughter, Sara Woods and husband, Michael of Las Cruces NM, and son, Blake Enax and wife, Karen of The Woodlands, sisters, Barbara Hart and husband, Bill of Palestine, Jeanie Macha and husband, Jerome of Beasley, and Peggy Enax and partner, Tracy Anderson of San Antonio, and his reward for a life well lived, his grandchildren, Jacob Woods, Aiden Woods, Hudson Enax, Gavin Enax and Brenden Enax and many furbabies that he loved dearly.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11 am at Friendship Community Bible Church, 420 Wood Street, Sugar Land, Texas.  Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at Ryan Cemetery near Cleveland, TX.
