Patricia Ann Sablatura died peacefully on June 2, 2019, at her home in Denver. Pat was born in Wharton, Texas, on July 26, 1944, to Rudolph and Lillie Sablatura. She graduated from East Bernard High School and went on to attend UT in Austin. After graduation, Pat joined the Franciscan sisters of the Catholic church in Minnesota. Pat also went on to acquire her Masters and Doctorate. After 38 years of service to the Franciscans, Pat was invited to join Regis University in Denver as a professor in the Graduate School of Counseling and Family Therapy. She was very instrumental in developing and growing the university’s Depth Certificate Program. Pat also had a great interest in the environment and taught a course, EcoPsychology, at Regis. Pat loved the outdoors, especially hiking and skiing in the mountains of Colorado. Pat was predeceased by her parents, and a brother, Bernard. and a nephew, Stephen. She is survived by a brother, David Sablatura, a sister, Frances Sablatura, her partner, Ginny Swenson, and 8 nephews and nieces, and many, many friends who loved her deeply. A service will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hungerford on July 26, at 10:30. Friends and family may wish to honor her memory by contributing to a nonprofit environmental Agency of their choice.
