Paul William Windham Sr, 82 passed away peacefully on Thursday, 30th May 2019 in Wharton.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM at St John’s Lutheran Church, 614 Pecan St Wharton, Texas. The burial will follow soon after at Evergreen Memorial Park 3511 Alabama Road, Wharton, TX Texas.

Mr. Windham was born on 4th August, 1936 in Wharton, Texas to Mabelle and William Windham. He was a Machinist in Houston, Texas and moved to Wharton in 1969 to work for Texas Gulf Sulphur Company  for 25 years until retiring and opening his own machine shop at his home on 208 Wakefield Lane. He married his wife of 63 years, Eleanor Mayeux on July 25th 1955 in Conroe, Texas. In his spare time Paul enjoyed camping, fishing, and classic automobiles.


His family paid this tribute to him, ‘Dad would do anything to help others out, whether it was fixing what they had or building a new one. He will be sorely missed.’

Preceded by in death by his parents Mabelle and William Windham, and his sister Shirley Ann Brezina and husband Herold.


He is survived by his loving wife Eleanor and 2 sons, Paul Windham Jr. wife Linda of Wakeman Ohio, and Mark Windham of Fritch Texas; and his sister, Willie Mae Kling and husband Robert.
