With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Rosalinda M. Mireles, who went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2025, at the age of 85. Surrounded by her loving family, Rosalinda left this world peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Born on May 20, 1939, in Newgulf, Texas, Rosalinda was the daughter of the late Juan Manuel Martinez and Herminia S. Martinez.
For over 60 years, she made Bay City her home, where she nurtured not only her family but also everyone who entered her heart. As a devoted homemaker, Rosalinda poured her love into every meal she cooked, every gathering she hosted, and every moment shared with her beloved husband Jesse Mireles Sr. “Bulè,” and their children.
Her greatest treasures were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she adored unconditionally. Rosalinda’s home was a warm sanctuary filled with laughter and joy, where family get-togethers were always celebrated with delicious food and heartfelt stories. She was a true matriarch whose spirit brought everyone together, and her devotion was evident in every detail of her life.
Rosalinda enjoyed shopping for fashionable purses, clothes, and shoes, and could often be found at her favorite restaurant Raising Cane's.
She leaves behind a lifetime of memories, woven with love and warmth. Rosalinda is survived by her husband Jesse Mireles of 68 years, her sons, Jesse (Sylvia) Mireles Jr. of Bay City, Armando (Carrie) Mireles of Dallas, and her cherished daughter, Barbara (Jr) Perez of Bay City. Her sisters Olga Blanco of Corpus Christi and Delia Luera of Bay City. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandsons: Juan (Julia) Mireles, Marc (Natashia) Mireles, Matthew (Jenifer) Mireles, Britten, Jerin, Adrian Mireles, Josh Correa, Joe Herrera III, and Jesse Gomez. Her legacy of love will also continue through her great-grandchildren: Juan Jr., Jenna, Jaxen, Madoxx, Myla, Marc Jr., McKenzie and her niece/bonus daughter Debbie (Pat) Rangel.
Rosalinda was preceded in death by her twin sister, Rosalva Garza, sisters Elva Pena, Herminia Garza, and her brothers Ernest, Oscar, and Lalo Martinez. She also mourned the loss of her granddaughter Kimberly Ann Mireles, who remains in our hearts. Her love was a living testament to the power of family, and we will carry her memory in our hearts for all time. Rest in Heaven, dear Rosalinda; you will be missed beyond words.
