Roxi Micole Gonzales, 28, of Wharton peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 1, 2018. She was born on November 15, 1989 in Wharton to Richard Gonzales and Sandy Cantu. Roxi grew up in Wharton and was a 2008 graduate of Wharton High School. The light of her life was her daughter, Kasidee. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Roxi enjoyed shopping and getting manicures and pedicures. She was artistic and loved to draw and create different crafts. She enjoyed taking pictures and was very photogenic. Roxi had the biggest heart and a unique soul. She truly had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tina Ramirez, Manuel Cantu, Jr., and Sam Gonzales. She is survived by her daughter, Kasidee Scarlett of Wharton, mother: Sandy Cantu of Wharton; father: Richard Gonzales of Bay City; sister: Marissa Cantu of Inez; brother: Rico Gonzales of Wharton; grandmother: Isidra Gonzales; aunts: Tracy Mendiola and Janie Gonzales; uncles: Manuel Cantu III, Vincent Gonzales, Johnny Gonzales, and Frankie Gonzales and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 starting at 5 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home with Rev Chris Jackson officiating. A burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Serving as pallbearers are Brian Cantu, Fabian Cantu, Rico Gonzales, Nikolas Wukasch, Alex Ramirez and Manuel Cantu III.
