Samuel Gusman

Samuel E. Gusman, 62, of Wharton, passed away on April 19, 2023 at an El Campo nursing center.  He was born on February 13, 1961 in Wharton, Texas to the late Pedro and Anasita Esparza Gusman.  

Samuel was raised in the Wharton area and attended Wharton High School. He worked as a newspaper delivery man for many years. Samuel married Mary Garza in Wharton. She preceded him in death.  He enjoyed watching Westerns on TV, going to family functions and BBQing. Samuel loved his horses and watching Joel Osteen on Sunday mornings. In addition to his parents and wife, Samuel was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Castillo, brothers, Henry Gusman, Benjamin Gusman, Manuel Gusman and Peter Gusman.

He is survived by his son, David Samuel, sisters, Rosie Carbajal and Nieves Gusman, brothers, Johnny Gusman and Fred Gusman and his partner, Mary Molina and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be held at on Friday, April 29, 2023 at 1230 pm atEvergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton.
