Susan Paulette Whaley, 73, of Wharton passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 in Katy, TX. She was born May 27, 1951 in Wharton to Burlon Sr. and Polly Whiddon Parsons.

Susan is survived by her son David Whaley & his wife Cathi Whaley of Katy, grandson Ben Whaley of Rosenberg, grand daughter Mikayla Torres of Houston. She is also survived by her brother Pat Parsons of Edna and sisters, Melanie Krenek and husband Chris Carlson of Wharton, and Angel Dirba and husband Paul of Midland, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Edward and Burlon Parsons, and her sister Bonnie.

Susan worked for several years at Richmond State School. She loved talking to people, making new friends and spending time with family.

Celebration of life will be held at Wharton Funeral Home on Saturday, June 8, from 11-1 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Limas officiating.

Funeral Services are under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
