Teodora "Teddi" Garza Lozano passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at the age of 77. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Rudolfo "Rudy" Lozano; son Rodney Lozano and wife Sara Bielanski; daughter Rae Lozano and husband Joseph Klotz; and daughter Renae Hernandez and husband Rick Hernandez. She leaves a source of great pride and joy for her: granddaughters Sabrina Lozano, Sybil Lozano, Sami Lozano, Kourtney Johnson, Erin Hernandez, Elena Hernandez, Bre Hernandez, and Sara Hernandez, grandson Marion Klotz, great granddaughter Lilianna, and great grandsons Luciano, Anthony, and Theo. She is also survived by her brother Lino Garza Jr., and her sister-in-law Patty Lozano Medina and husband Ed Medina and their daughter Pariz Medina, in addition to many dear extended family members, including uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She lived through the loss of her beloved son Randall Lozano, whose memory she cherished to the very end. She was also preceded in death by her parents Lino Sr. and Julia Garza, and her in-laws Carmel and Margaret Lozano - she was extremely close to them all. Teddi was born on April 1, 1947, in Runge, TX, and she grew up in Hungerford and East Bernard, TX. She was an excellent student and athlete at East Bernard High School, where she graduated with honors, was the captain of the girls volleyball and basketball teams, and was a varsity cheerleader. After high school, she attended Wharton County Junior College and graduated with her Associates Degree. She and Rudy were married in Hungerford on January 4, 1969. Soon thereafter, she and Rudy moved to Hawaii when Rudy was stationed there in the US Army. After Rudy finished his duty with the Army, they moved back to East Bernard to raise their family. As a long-time resident of East Bernard, Teddi was active in the community, school, and church, and always supported her children's and grandchildren's scholastic and athletic activities. In addition to being a devoted wife and wonderful mother and grandmother, she was also a career woman, having worked over the years as a teller and loan specialist at banks in East Bernard, Boling, and Rosenberg. She loved spending time with family, especially on vacations along the Frio River in South Texas, as well as trips to Las Vegas, Louisiana, and Massachusetts. She had a tremendous spirit for life, a beautiful smile, undying love for her family, and she will be greatly missed.
