Tiburcio "Buddy" Gonzales Jr.

Tiburcio “Buddy or BB” Gonzales Jr., 65, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 29, 2022. He was a lifelong resident of Wharton, born on July 30, 1957, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Tiburcio & Rosa Gonzales Sr.

He is survived by his brother, Johnnie Gonzales Sr. and wife, Delia of Wharton. Nieces: Roxanne Hensley & family. Amy Wesley husband, Walter & family. Nephew: Johnnie Gonzales Jr., fiancé Amanda & family. His sister, Josephina Gusman and husband, Remigio Sr. Nephews: Remigio Gusman Jr. and wife, Tiffany & family, Jonathan Gusman and wife, Lisa & family. Nieces: Alicia Gusman & family, Rosie Jaramillo and husband Oscar & family.

He did not marry nor have kids of his own. He treated his nieces and nephews along with a multitude of cousins as his own: Mr. & Mrs. Tim & Debbie Garcia & family, Mr. & Mrs. Bobby & Sylvia Bustamante & family, Rene Gonzales, and Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy & Mirna Gonzales Sr. & family. Anyone he met; he treated as family. He loved everyone so much that he gave us nicknames as his own special way to remember us. We will always hold that dear to our hearts. He was well known for riding his “Cadillac” (bike)around town, working odd jobs, helping others, and having a beer or two. He leaves behind his beloved dog, Rocky.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 3, 2022, at Wharton Funeral Home. Immediate family visitation is from 9 am to 10 am, Services will begin at 10 am – all are welcomed, and visitation will last until 12 pm. Condolences can be left at whartonfuneralhome.com
