Vernon Allen Janik

Vernon Allen Janik September 14, 1955 – October 31, 2023 Vernon Janik, 68, of El Campo passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at his residence following a sudden illness. He was born on September 14, 1955, in Wharton, Texas to the late Rudolph and Martha Chumchal Janik. Vernon was raised in Wharton and graduated from Wharton High School in 1974. He continued his education at Wharton County Junior College. Vernon worked as a welder at several oil and gas plants before working for area farmers. He enjoyed fishing, building BBQ pits and trailers and anything related to welding. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Viereck and brother Irvin Janik. Vernon will be missed by his daughter, Angela Janik, brothers, Eugene Janik and wife, Elaine and Larry Janik and wife, Donna and several nieces, nephews and many close friends. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 followed by Memorial services at 6pm at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home.
