Victor "Earl" Jones

Victor “Earl” Jones   Earl Jones, 65, of Huntsville, Texas passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019 at a Conroe hospital following a lengthy illness.  He was born in Houston, Texas on August 23, 1953, a son of the late William Victor and Edna Earl Harland Jones.   Earl was raised in the Wharton area and graduated from Wharton High School with the Class of 1971.  He later graduated from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville with a Bachelors’ Degree in Education.  He Married Ms. Jimmie Moore on May 15, 1976 in Plano, Texas.  Earl worked for Conoco for many years in the Corporate Sales Division. Earl enjoyed baseball, watching Westerns, listening to the Beetles, and going on family road trips.  Many days were spent on the road with his family traveling to new places. Earl and Jimmie also enjoyed going to his class reunions.   Earl is survived by his wife, Jimmie Jones of Huntsville, daughters, Katheryn Hundemer and husband, Ryan of Richmond and Victoria Michele Jones of Huntsville, and brother, Douglas Jones and many friends and relatives.   Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 after 10 am at Wharton Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held at 11 am at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Mitchel, Tim Barker, Greg Ardoine, Keith Sergent, Mike Tisdale and Keven Graham with Ryan Hundemer serving as honorary pallbearer.   In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Wharton Reunion in his honor.   Funeral services under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home. Condolences may be left at whartonfuneralhome.com
