Manuel “Manny” Anzaldua III
Manuel “Manny” Anzaldua III, 54, of Dallas, Texas and formerly of Wharton, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at his residence in Dallas.
Manny was born in Bay City, Texas on August 26, 1964 to Manuel Anzaldua, Jr. and the late Esther Arias Anzaldua. Raised in the Wharton area, he graduated from Wharton High School in 1983. Manny was known for his smile, big heart, generosity and caring spirit. His nieces and nephews were his pride and joy. He enjoyed shopping, traveling, cooking and fine dining. Manny worked tirelessly to improve his life and the countless lives he touched. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his mother, Esther Arias Anzaldua.
He is survived by his father, Manuel Anzaldua, Jr. of Corpus Christi, and his sisters; Esther Marie Anzaldua of Corpus Christi, Minerva Borger and husband, Christopher of Corpus Christi; Patricia Hernandez and husband, Michael of Corpus Christi and Olivia Anzaldua of San Antonio; nieces; Ashley Hernandez, Allison Hernandez, Sophia Borger and Elena Espinosa; nephew; Anthony Hernandez and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 18, 2019 at 5 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home located at 515 E Boling HWY, Wharton, Texas 77488. A celebration of life service will begin at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 10 a.m. A graveside service will be held at Cedarvale Cemetery, Golden Ave, Bay City, Texas 77414 at 2 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Borger, Michael Hernandez, Anthony Hernandez, Mark Bacot, Scott Chalaire and Chad Schulle. Honorary pallbearers will be Baldemar Mendiola and Medardo Ramirez.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
